I’m a photographer and journalist who’s been taking pictures and writing for over 30 years. The day after my birthday in 2012, I realized that I’ve been in recovery for almost as long—recovery from anxiety and depression, both symptoms of post-traumatic stress.
While I exhibit my photographs and have published many articles, I’ve been longing for a personal project that combines both talents–and most importantly, one that speaks from my heart and soul.
That blistery day in March, I realized that my never-ending need to express myself through images and words was all part and parcel of my ongoing recovery. That without those abilities which I’ve honed and depended on through the years, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
Therefore, with the hope of reaching out and helping others, I decided to create a personal blog sharing my experience, strength and hope.
