a Photographic Journey by Meryl

 tell me

how lavender skies

stretch across

your dreams

how sadness

is soothed

by grape and

raspberry streams

how beach plums

turn white

just before

talk to me

whisper clear

your visions

your hopes

let me hear

  1. Beautiful. The gentle richness of colours soothing, so soothing to the soul. That’s how we all wish to be listened to…to be drawn out of ourselves. Sharon

I think this is the most positive, uplifting, cheerful poem of yours I have ever read! Hope it indicates your current mood. It also is making me hungry for sorbet!

  3. Beautiful words Meryl, I particularly liked the way you speak to the reader ~ by asking for action in the first and last line! … perfect for this image – and very much helpful to me right now, especially ~ Thank you xxoo

Meryl, here is a humble addition to your excellent poetry above, hope you like it. “Help me…to ignore. the sour tang…of fear. appreciate…sweet waves…of joy. Lapping so near. nature’s banquet waits… my soul…starved. A river of sorrows…a channel…so deeply carved. Feed me…hold me…show me how. My fast …is over…I’m hungry now.”

    • I appreciate your kudos…it’s not always easy to express ourselves clearly or to hear what others are trying to tell us…
