  1. Love this phantom Meryl…. the image is crisp and clear and then the phantom dog-walker seems to disappear, as you state in your lovely poem. I appreciate the ending – how you re-emerge into a a new place — slower pace … where you can be whole again, perhaps ~ xo

    • Ahhh…you are so perceptive…I recently realized that my Phamtoms have to do with my desire to melt into a slower, more peaceful existence underneath my commentary on too much technology…did you notice that I made a new Phantoms page too?

      • yes – i did notice and read…and so agree that we need to make space for the peace in our fast-paced world. Of course I’m forced into retreat-mode most of the time now… just cannot survive otherwise, but I think everyone can benefit from finding that sacred space to be still. ~ Your phantom series does a wonderful job of exemplifying this Meryl 🙂

  2. I’m really enjoying your phantom photos.. I haven’t tried to do this with my camera, is it difficult??

    • Thanks Barbara, it is rather tricky…requires a very steady hand (no tripod) and split second timing as well as previsualization…
