a Photographic Journey by Meryl

Confide

silence drops
tongue tied
no taste
no cry

hiding
in dark
can’t seek
can’t confide

  1. Wonderful abstract image Meryl. Love the intense contrast between the green and yellow leaves ~ droplets and black background. And your verse evoked feeling… Yes — having lack of confidant and remaining in the dark with one’s emotions — so painful. Love the way you tied such an emotional topic together with your striking image here….excellent post!! ~RL xo

    • I appreciate your very sensitive insight into this piece…was a bit scary to put this out there…but I do go through periods when it’s difficult to reach out and go into a sort of hiding…and yes, it’s painful…I try to be upbeat here but at the same time am trying to show more of myself…thanks for the encouragement as always…xoxm

  2. I like the green water droplets, is a photograph with special vibrations, comfort to the eye and soul.
Sometimes my friend Meryl disappear as your ghosts in photos, but I always remember you …

Excellent description of the numbness, paralysis, and emotional retreat that often come with depression. But look, even a hosta gets to be in the sunshine once in a while!

  4. Thanks Jeff, it was a little frightening to put this out there , but felt that numbness, that retreat for a day or so earlier in the week when I took this picture of my beloved hostas and the words came to me quite magically when I gazed at the image. And yes, now I’m in sunshine….:)
